Telltale signs you need to get a haircut

I’m a big fan of growing hair out and totally understand people who get haircuts two times a year. You can keep your hair long, but you have to find the right hairdresser who knows how to dust off your ends and give you shape without losing any length. That aside, here’s exactly how you know when it’s time for a cut.

It has a triangle shape

If your hair is wavy or just very thick and it starts to resemble a Christmas tree, it’s time to get a cut.

The ends are beyond repair

You’ll know this because they look thin and stringy. Cutting your hair when the ends look like that will make your hair fuller and thicker looking again.

It’s falling flat

If you’re at home blow out looks worse than it usually does or you need an entire can of dry shampoo to get some lift at your roots that means you need to get a haircut.

It tangles easily

I see this most often in the salon,  if your hair gets too long and doesn’t have any layers, your dry ends get knotted together, making post-shower comb-outs a nightmare.
